Recently under new management and they are doing a great job. Nice atmosphere, always a few locals around and family friendly at the right time of day. Worth checking out if you feel like a nice drive.

I lovely picturesque drive west from Macksville will bring you to a small town called Taylors Arm where this establishment can be found. Unlike its name there is plenty of cold beer on tape (and variety I might add) with friendly locals to talk too. The pub is very well kept and has some great Aussie memorabilia on display, I didn't try the meals but they are well priced and looked absolutely beautiful when we saw them served to the people that were there. Definitely well worth the visit.

Friendly staff. Nice cold drinks. We didn't sit inside as we had two dogs with us so stayed at tables outside. Would have been nice to have shade over the outside seating. Free camping across the road and gold coin to use our showers. Typical country pub.

We were on the return leg of our trip to the gold coast when we researched this pub and decided to come here. We arrived here just as they were closing. The bar staff still allowed us to buy drinks and gave us a brief tour of the place before leaving. Fantastic service and we will be back.

This is a must see 'before you die' experience. Fascinating in many aspects with historical photos and artefacts abundant with particular items related to Slim Dusty ( this is the pub with no beer) Nice selection of local craft beers for every taste palette. Camping permitted across the road for $5 per night including a free shower and if you can't be bothered cooking the pizzas are awesome.
